Christmas Tree Safety

The other day I came across a great article highlighting the dangers of Christmas trees.  Not to be a Christmas grinch, but Christmas trees can be a big fire hazard if not properly cared for and maintained.  The link below is for an article and some very poignant videos from the National Institute of Standards and Technology that highlights the dangers.  Even if you’re not a homeowner, don’t have a Christmas tree, or if yours is a manufactured tree, I encourage everyone to at least watch the video as a reminder of how quickly a fire can spread.

 Now for some happier thoughts…

I just wanted to share a picture of my kids in front of our Christmas tree.  And, yes, it is not a real tree, so I guess I am practicing Christmas Tree Safety like a good insurance agent should.
